Sometimes life throws us curveballs that can derail us. Whether you are feeling stuck or unfulfilled in your life, navigating loss or change, or simply want to know yourself better, therapy can offer an emotionally safe space where we can navigate these challenges together. Through a deep exploration of your experiences, we will aim to gain an understanding of who you are, identify patterns that keep you stuck, and help you cultivate greater agency and meaning in your life.

Approach

I deeply believe in the healing power of a warm, supportive therapeutic relationship and in the human capacity for growth. Therefore, I primarily use relational psychodynamic and humanistic approaches wherein I collaborate with my clients to explore past experiences, pain, fears, hidden desires, dreams, and values in service of helping them cultivate a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. For clients with trauma histories, I strive to use a trauma-informed lens to understand their difficulties in the context of specific events that may have interrupted their journeys or chronic hurt that may have shaped the ways in which they relate to themselves and others. Through these processes, we generate deep insights into the initial stuckness that brings clients in, and identify new choices and actions to facilitate change. When helpful, I integrate other approaches like mindfulness, creative arts therapy, and dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT) to help clients access their experiences in different ways and learn new skills.

Training

I hold a BA in Psychology and History of Art, and a Master of Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and am currently earning a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. My training has involved providing individual and group psychotherapy to adults across the lifespan at Baruch College Counseling Center, St. Barnabas Hospital, Parnes Clinic, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. My research focuses on the impact of self-transcendent experiences on mental health.

Prior to mental health, I worked in organizational development and gained experience providing executive coaching to individuals and co-founder teams at startup incubators in India and the US.
