I approach therapy as protected time to be curious about yourself. Together, we will explore your past and present to enhance your understanding of your emotions, your relationships, and your sense of self. I aim to help you uncover and articulate formative experiences and unsaid wishes in service of feeling more like yourself. I believe a collaborative approach is essential for this type of self-exploration. I use a friendly and interactive approach to foster an open environment with room for humor.

I work primarily from a relational psychodynamic perspective and believe that our connection offers an important lens for exploration. I also integrate skills and behavioral techniques from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)  and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) when applicable. I work with patients of all genders, sexual orientations, ethnicities, nationalities, and religious beliefs.

Training

I have a Masters in Psychology and am currently earning my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. My clinical training includes working with individuals and couples in community mental health settings as well as in hospitals. I have experience providing psychotherapy at Montefiore’s Couples and Fatherhood Program, New York Presbyterian’s Westchester Behavioral Health Center, and the Parnes Clinic. My research focuses on self-conscious emotions and the role they play in self-harm.
