Therapists of New York Continuing Education Program
Our practice is now an approved provider of CE Credits for clinical psychologists in the state of New York and we are excited to support the mental health community through this program.*
*Please note you may still attend courses out of interest, even if you do not choose to (or need to) obtain the CE Credits.
Mission Statement. Our staff psychologists represent an array of expertise, through which we provide supervision and training to licensed early career psychologists and postdoctoral fellows. We aim to extend the scholar-practitioner model to post-graduate community clinical practice through the provision of research-based continuing education opportunities.
NYS CE Requirements for Licensed Clinical Psychologists. Each state has their own requirements. See below to understand how many CE credits you may need and when to start earning them:
Licensed psychologists need 36 CE contact hours over a 3 year period
If you’re newly licensed, you don’t have to start earning CE credits until 3 years since your license registration period started
12 of these credits can be self-study
3 of these credits need to be related to ethics (note that at this time, TNY is not offering these CEs)
1 of these courses must be about appropriate boundaries
All CE courses must be a minimum of 50 minutes in length
Our CE Program
Credits. Number of CE credits will vary based on course length e.g., 120 minutes equates to 2 CE credits. Select “training series” will provide up to 12 credits.

Community Supervision
Therapists of New York offers weekly supervision groups for licensed therapists interested in developing an expertise in couples therapy. These groups are an opportunity for clinicians to learn from an expert in the field while also building community and discussing clinical work. Please note: these groups do not provide CE credits.
