Through warm attunement and open curiosity, my goal is to co-create a therapeutic alliance that is built on trust and safety.  I do so by taking a non-judgmental, direct, and patient approach with you in every session.  This allows us to explore aspects of your identity, environment, and relational patterns that may be creating conflicts in your daily life. I aim to provide an open and compassionate space to allow for reflection, challenges, and change. I consider your challenges within the context of your life experiences, significant relationships, and social and cultural background. My approach is grounded in relational and psychodynamic perspectives, utilizing techniques that integrate CBT, DBT, and mindfulness practices to address acute symptoms.

I have experience working with individuals dealing with a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, chronic and acute medical illness, relationship issues, grief, and major life transitions. I also have extensive experience working with trauma-related issues including racial trauma. I work with adults, children, adolescents, couples, and families in my practice. I also provide neuropsychological assessment for those looking for a comprehensive evaluation of their functioning.

I also look to research to inform my clinical approaches. My focus has included the psychological impact of stigma and discrimination within immigrant communities, as well as aspects of personality and identity development that impact one’s relationships and daily functioning.
